Technology
Geo9 has a variety of geophysical techniques for on-site surveying. The technique we use on your property will be determined by the nature of the groundwater supply you are seeking, geological and other characteristics of your property, timing requirements and your budget.
Resistivity
With resistivity, we generate a direct current on the surface of the ground and measure its path to see how strongly the underground rocks oppose a flow of current.
Transient Electromagnetics (TEM)
With this technique, an electrical field is induced in the ground. We measure the time it takes to decay which is an indication of the geology, groundwater presence, groundwater salinity and clay content.
High Resolution Magnetics and Gravity
We can use high resolution magnetic and gravity data to find features that constrict groundwater movement.
AquaTrack™
Geo9 is proud to be the first Australian representative of the innovative US-based AquaTrack™ technology.
Waterborne Geo-electric
By towing geo-electric recording equipment along a river, canal or reservoir , large areas can be mapped efficiently to assist with groundwater exploration....
Airborne Geophysics
In association with Thomson Aviation, Geo9 can offer airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys from both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
High Resolution Magnetics and Gravity
We can use high resolution magnetic and gravity data to find features that constrict groundwater movement.
Towed Gamma Ray Spectrometry
We can use Gamma Ray Spectrometry for rapid soil origin mapping and differentiating between different clay types.
