Report

All steps up until Step 4 are covered in Geo9's Groundwater Report.

Step 5 Water License Application

Optional - Geo9 can assist you with the paperwork to apply for a water license.

Step 6 Strategy

A reconnaissance of the site by a Geo9 geologist may be recommended.

Target survey areas and geophysical methods are confirmed.

.

Step 7 On-site Geophysics

step7-thumb

Geo9's field team records the behaviour of electrical currents or electromagnetic fields underground at the target areas on your property.

Step 8 Final Report

Our geologists and geophysicists interpret the results to determine the geology and likely groundwater presence in these locations. Where a drilling target has been identified, Geo9's final report indicates the GPS (global positioning system) coordinates and target depth to drill test holes.

Report and Survey

Geo9's investigations start with the Groundwater Report outlined at http://geo9.com.au/services/report. We provide recommendations on the next steps available to you based on the findings of this report.

If both parties believe there is merit in conducting further groundwater exploration activities on your property, we determine a reconnaissance and survey strategy. These recommendations will take into account the amount of ground that needs to be surveyed, the geological complexity of your property and other practical access matters relating to the site.

The completed  work includes:

  • Geophysical Survey results and commentary from on-site surveying and observations
  • Precise Global Positioning System (GPS) location(s) and depth(s) of any test hole locations identified
  • On-site identification of the target spots for drilling
  • Recommendations for drilling approach based on the rock types expected to be found underground

The cost for a Geo9 survey is unique to each property. Surveying of a typical target area generally starts at $ 5,000 + GST. Travel costs may also apply. We would be pleased to provide you with an estimate based on the precise requirements for your property.

9 Steps

Step 9 Drilling

Your driller or a driller recommended by Geo9 uses the final report to drill at the locations and depths indicated. Geo9 can oversee drilling for maximum efficiency and optimum results.

Report, Survey and Drill

This option covers the full 9 steps of Geo9's "9 Step to Discovery process" and provides he highest level of service.

In addition to the services provided at http://geo9.com.au/services/report-survey, this option includes:

  • Expert geological assessment of rock types found when drilling
  • Professional storage of rock samples from your property (useful for future groundwater and other ground-related investigations)
  • All testholes drilled by a licensed driller who has the right tools for the job
  • Follow up service call to check on bore performance after pump installation

The cost for the complete service will depend on the geological complexity of your property, the time we will need to spend on site, the depth required for drilling and travel time. We'd be delighted to provide an estimate based on your requirements.
